Tribeca Filmfest. hosts Iran's ‘Retouch’

TEHRAN, Mar. 08 (MNA) – Iranian director Kaveh Mazaheri’s ‘Retouch’ participated in the competition section of Tribeca Film Festival.

Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, short movie Retouch is about a young woman whose husband is trapped under a halter during a workout, but she declines to save him and, consequently, he dies.

The film has won the award for best short film at the 18th Iran Cinema Celebration and Best Film Award at Iran's 34th Fajr Film Festival.

The Tribeca Film Festival aims to enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience.

Asghar Farhadi's About Elly, about a group of friends on holiday at the Caspian Sea, was a big winner at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival.
